What would you like to know?

1. Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy safe?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is widely used in both medical and wellness settings. Sessions are carried out in a controlled environment, with pressure levels carefully monitored throughout.

Most people tolerate HBOT very well. The most common sensation is mild ear pressure, similar to what you feel during take-off or landing on a flight. Our team will guide you on simple techniques to equalise comfortably.

If you have specific medical conditions, we recommend discussing them with your GP before starting therapys.

2. What does a session feel like?

A session is calm and relaxing. You’ll sit or recline comfortably inside the chamber while pressure gradually increases. You may notice a feeling of fullness in your ears as the chamber pressurises, this is normal and temporary.

Once at pressure, most clients relax, read, listen to music, or simply rest. Many people describe feeling refreshed and clear-headed afterwards.

3. How long does a session last?

Each session lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes at full pressure, plus a short period at the beginning and end while the chamber safely pressurises and depressurises. Your first visit includes a short introduction and safety briefing.

4. How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your goals. Some clients book individual sessions to experience the therapy, while others choose multi-session packages for cumulative exposure.

Oxygen therapy works best when delivered consistently over time. We’re happy to discuss a schedule that suits your personal objectives.

5. Who can benefit from HBOT?

Clients choose HBOT for a wide range of reasons, including:

  • Supporting recovery after exercise.
  • Promoting general wellness and energy.
  • Complementing rehabilitation programmes.
  • Supporting overall wellbeing routines.

If you’re unsure whether HBOT is suitable for you, please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

6. What should I wear or bring?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Avoid oils, perfumes, or flammable products before your session. You’ll be provided with any necessary equipment, including a sterile mask for your first visit. Full guidance will be given when booking.

7. Are there any side effects?

Most people experience no side effects. Occasionally, mild ear pressure or temporary fatigue can occur following a session. These effects are typically short-lived. If you have concerns, please speak with us before booking.

8. Can I claim this through private health insurance?

HBOT coverage varies depending on your insurance provider and policy. We recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm whether sessions may be eligible under your plan.
